Mac Users Across the Spiral, Rejoice!

Well, I can officially say to you all today that there's an easy and efficient way to get Wizard 101 on your Mac. It's hinted in the July edition of the Ravenwood Bulletin.

My goodness, I can't believe I was able to say that. Wizard 101 works on Mac, and I am proud!

*pinches self*

But wait, folks! Before you start loading up your Mac and download Wizard 101, I've gotta tell you something important.

Wizard 101 isn't officially supported on Mac. The only way to get Wizard 101 on your Mac is through an easy to use, not-to-expensive third party software called... CrossOver Games

All you've gotta do to get Wizard 101 on your Mac is download CrossOver Games. Once this is done, have the CrossOver Games application open on your computer and proceed to download the Wizard 101 game as you would normally do on a PC. CrossOver Games automatically converts the download to a Mac download, then converting the game to a Mac game. To access Wizard 101 once it has been downloaded, find the CrossOver Games folder in your Finder (usually under Applications, but try searching CrossOver Games in Spotlight if you can't find it). From here, you'll be able to access all the games you "CrossedOver" seamlessly to Mac OSX.

You know why I love screenshots? They can tell the truth... Unless you're Friendly, of course. (Note to Friendly: Link me in your post about how Wizard 101 can now run on a Mac! There is no post like this, you say? Make one, you silly Necromantic friendly Necromancer, MAKE ONE *winks*.) Two hours of Skeletal Warrior farming from Tumok ring a bell, David?

That, my friends, is the first time I ever saw Dustin on the screen of an Apple computer.

*wipes tear from eye*

Anyway, this is a fantastic third party feature that really does work seamlessly. I'm definitely going to make the most of my free trial with CrossOver Games and then invest in a copy of it for permanent use!

Hope this helps... I think it will... *wink wink*

Oh, and I hear Stephen, Leesha, and Icywiz beat the Warehouse with the help of the almighty and awesome Kevin BattleBlood, blogger, podcaster, and artist extraordinaré.

A Rant & The June Ravenwood Bulletin

Some exciting news came with the June edition of the Ravenwood Bulletin! As Fallon said, "Here's the most noteworthy":

I'm so psyched! And did everyone see the special on Wizard 101 that KVUE did? You can click here to watch it. You get giant sneak peeks at the visuals of Celestia, so it's worth watching a hundred times.

Just kidding. But it's a great video.

If anyone wants to read the whole Ravenwood Bulletin (which I suggest you do because it has a special write-up from Todd J. Coleman about trading enhanced Treasure Cards), please, click here!

Ravenwood Radio is tonight as well! Be in the chatroom at 8 or 8:30 PM (be safe and go at 8). Unfortunately, I'm unable to attend yet again due to a condition I've told myself I have that I am calling rapid time disorder. Basically, I've got this problem where I feel like I don't have enough time to get ready for school in the morning (it happens with other stuff too), so I get up at 5:37 (the waking up at weird times like the 37 is part of it, too) just so I don't freak out. I know, it's completely irrational, but I have serious panic attacks (like stomach goes nuts, head hurts, REALLY freaks out) if I don't have at least 1 hour and 25 minutes to get done everything I've got to do in the morning. This is also the answer to why I've decided that it's healthiest for me to go to bed at a maximum time of 8:45 PM EST, no exceptions. So yup... This is part of the reason I'm going to a new school next year, though, so that's about it. I'll be a regular all summer long and a lot of next school year for Ravenwood Radio, though!

Thanks for reading the rant and the Ravenwood Bulletin!

May 2010 Ravenwood Bulletin Is Out!

Well folks, if you didn't know, the May edition of the praised Ravenwood Bulletin is available TODAY!

Yes, today. And all you have to do is click here!

This edition is really good. Guess who's "hosting" it this month?

Our good old buddy from the Pet Update on the Test Realm... the guy who loves alliteration with P's?

Anyway, this Ravenwood Bulletin is a testament to just how great the Wizard 101 community is. Within... what is it now... 3 weeks after Autumn DuskHunter's dramatic return (see Homework in a Graveyard blog in our Blogroll/Other-W101-Blogs-List) to the Spiral, KingsIsle addresses it in a Ravenwood Bulletin.

Pretty big.

Enjoy reading!
